NASSCOM Friday 2.0

Yesterday my trip to NASSCOM to speak at Friday 2.0 did get me many new learnings.
First, NASSCOM – which sounds very formal – was truly very friendly, second people who came there were good fun and finally it was an evening well spent.

We have been trying the get the best talent in and around Delhi/NCR to One97.

I am firm believer that a company is worth the company (of people) it offers !

Seeing a good target group, I asked my audience on how to get great talent to join in. There were many suggestions including trying out startup lunch, trying some PR 2.0 and internal references.

I think we are not going to be only the best place to work. We want One97 to be the *cult* destination to work. A place, where if you did not work, you missed something in your life.

I love the energy that flows in the air. It’s lovely. The place, the platform and the people: it is a potent mix.
Let’s talk more about it sometime later.

I shared some of my experiences in early days and later, the opportunity in telecom application space (I do not like calling our business VAS or MVAS :)

The event was blogged live (!!) here.

If you want to work with us, check out links on the right side.

Cheers

Vijay, your talk has definitely raised more than a few voices:)

Looking at the growth of One97 and discussing it with a few thought leaders in the industry, I am keen on connecting with the *cult*!

The energy, the platform as you have right mentioned has always been part of NASSCOM EMERGE events and I think Avinash is doing a great job of it.

PR 2.0 is happening now and am sure we have lots to explore in common!

    Would love to connect!

    Best,
    Charu Bajaj

Talent in a creative field people of varied subjects and specialization. Does any company including telecommunication have staff with background of physics , anthropology or fine arts !! It needs variety to bring unique ideas and finally products and services. Companies recruit clones , who exactly know how to “manage” the environment. People also get attracted to work environment, majority of our workplace is saddled with two centuries old work practises and procedures. Talent cannot work in vacuum, it needs good incubator.

It also takes freedom for talent to flourish in a corporate workspace. Freedom to think; the confidence that you will be heard, and the sub conscious belief that you share a mission with others, to realize a vision … I think this is an outcome of culture.

    Our culture. :)
